claggie @soniesusan12234 Just sent you an email with the photos! I hope that helps. No rips or tears. The bottom hem is raw. Minimal wear even though they’re vintage! They’re in great condition. ❤️

kryglomo Hello! Do you know the year these were made?

claggie @kryglomo I’m not sure how to get that info! I bought these at a vintage shop called fair season a few years ago. They have more modern tags, so I’m assuming after the year 2000.

claggie @kryglomo I was absolutely wrong on my previous comment. I’m so sorry! I looked at the wrong pants. I put the care label in the photos and believe these may be from 1976 based on the tag. Could be +/- a few years.

kryglomo @claggie no worries! Sorry I know I’m being a total pain. I’d love to buy these but I just want to make sure I buy the *right* pair. I’ve been looking for awhile now! Are these women’s? I keep stumbling upon men’s as you know women’s are hard to find!!

claggie @kryglomo you’re not a pain at all! Vintage 501s were technically made for men if that’s helpful to know. They made a 701 that was made for women back then. Women definitely wore 501s since they tend to shrink to fit, so they could be considered unisex, but they were intended for men I believe!

adchrist Hi there! You say the length is 40 but the tag says 36. I really like these but afraid they will be way too long.

claggie @adchrist the inseam was originally 36 (that’s what the L is for on the tag). It’s now 30.5 because they’ve been cut shorter. Length from waistband to bottom is 40. Hope that helps! :)

adchrist @claggie Hi there! Do you happen to have any pics of the jeans on? Then I can tell the fit a little better. Thank you😊
