Hand carved walking cane

the wood is Douglas fir from right here in douglas county oregon. carved by hand with no power tools. about 30-40 hours of total work. wood has been hardened using multiple coats of danish oil and a set period of 4 days. 5 coats of shellac has been applied with sanding in between applications. the top stone is a frosted blue cats eye held in place with industrial strength epoxy. rubber cap on bottom assures the user of grip. leather strapping nailed and glued so it wont come off. intentional slight curve in the wood. great piece can be used for decoration or as an actual walking cane. total length of cane from stone to rubber cap is 36 1/4 inches.
