Vintage 1930s Mexico tooled leather box with acwalite celluloid brush shoehorn

Incredibly cool antique / vintage tooled leather dopp / shaving travel kit from Mexico circa 1920s-1930s. Included are its original and very rare acwalite or “French ivory” hair brush and shoe horn set, which have the iconic pearl marbling on the back and transparent amber on the front. The box is gorgeous tooled leather with the Mexican flag’s eagle holding a snake on top, and Aztec faces / designs on the sides. Metal feet on the bottom. Zipper runs smoothly. There is a spot where the zipper fabric is torn (see pic) - it’s possible to zip past that point, but you must be very gentle when zipping / unzipping there so as not to enlarge the tear. It’s on the far side of the zipper, so no need to zip past that point to close the box anyway. Original handle is worn away, someone loved this thing through the Great Depression and beyond. Inside is lined in vinyl and has a mirror and strap to hold the accessories. This hand tooled leather box has a wonderful patina from years of use, please see pictures for condition. Amazing as a home decor piece or for vintage hairbrush or tooled leather collectors. I can’t find another set like it! Very cool piece for home decor to store treasures. Measures about 9.5" x 6.5" x 4".
