Vintage 1980’s (‘84) gold plated Seiko wristwatch (family piece.) Ladies, this is a classic timepiece that never goes out of style!!! Fantastic price compared to other listings out there. I hate to part with this piece but it’s now too small for my wrist, post injury 😢Please see photos for sizing—5.5 inches before clasp, unique bracelet style band (no stretch) small rectangular beveled face. Quartz and bezel in perfect condition, some wear on back clasp (see photos.) Needs battery. Gold plated over base metal, as is common for Seiko. Does not tarnish. Lots of love left in this piece! Wear stacked with bracelets, or as a simple classic stand alone.

@shannonrae00 yes, I believe so, though I’ve not taken it to a jeweler (was passed down to me from my Aunt.) I’m out of town but will see what I can find out when home tmr. Thx!

@shannonrae00 so sorry for the delay. Had an emergency. I’ve looked up all of the info on Seiko watches and it has a stainless base and some sort of gold plating, though I don’t know exactly what. It has never tarnished or discolored (save the clasp from wear, on a desk) and is vintage, so that says something. I own another Seiko and same there!

@ginacad Thank you. Can you show the gold plating marking please?

@shannonrae00 I’ve done research to determine gold plated vs gold filled caps, Seiko plate history, luxury brands etc. I don’t think this is going to have a mark like fine jewelry/Tiffany etc. It’s plated, over base metal (Seiko has used many) I will upload photos of all markings and more sz detail. Thanks
