Vintage Aynsley Shamrock Footed Cup & Saucer Crocus Coupe Shape #159 England

- Footed Cup & Saucer set - Shamrock Pattern - by Aynsley - Made in England - Features Shamrocks on a white background on both the front and back of the cup - Shamrocks also appear inside the cup - Gold Trim on rim, foot and handle and rim of saucer - In my research, this shape is referred to as a Crocus or Coupe Shape and is said to have been made in the 1960s MARKS: in green on the bottom of cup and saucer - The Aynsley crown logo - "Made in England" - "Fine English Bone China" - "159" in gold on cup only - a triangle shape in gold - cup only - "W" ? in blue - cup only CONDITION: Very good condition with the caveat that there is a manufacturer's defect on the rim, mostly on the underside. It is actually a small unobtrusive chip but it definitely occurred during manufacturing because if you look at it with a magnifying glass the gold trim is "melted" over it. See last two pictures.
