This green toque (A small cap or bonnet having a narrow brim or no brim) from the 1940s' is structured as a rounded crown that sits close to the head with no brim. At the front there is a beautiful green suede cover in a pointy form which was glued to the felt and surrounded by shiny gold cord. The suede is in very good condition with no visible stains, but it has stiffened a bit with time, and the corners have shrunk a tiny bit. Please see photos. This fact does not detract from the beauty of the hat. There is a large, curving yellow ostrich feather attached to the hat at the side. The quill of the feather is wrapped in a strip of felt of the same color as the hat.
There is no label, indicating it was a custom-made creation.
Other than the information above about the slight irregularity in the suede, this hat is in wonderful vintage condition and has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Mannequin not for sale.
