Amazing vintage embroidered Chinese opera boots in hot pink silk. Completely embellished with dragon embroidery in shades of aqua, deep purple, ivory and silver metallic. They are piped with black cording and trimmed with black leather. Boots are lined in natural muslin & have Chinese stamping inside.There is mending at the lower back seam if both boots & some embroidery is snagged. Scuffing on toes and footbed.Size is marked 7 on foot bed (as they were mens) but fit woman’s size 9. Purchased in late 70’s from opera costume sale.Angled leg opening about 16 1/2”. Height 16” tall at front from bottom of shoe to top of boot, about 12 1/2” at back. They are still quite wearable!
