I will leave mini skirt up to interpretation. This is a cute, little pleated, hemmed skirt, that looks more like board shorts. There is a tie around the waist which is long enough to tie in a bow. There are large, oversized pockets on each side. I bought this thinking it was a skort, but no luck. The waist measures 16" across and the skirt is 14" long from waistband to hem.
