New With Tags Todd Snyder X NB 327 Farmer's Market Pineapple Retro Sneakers As part of his ongoing collaboration with New Balance, Todd created three limited-edition sneakers that take as their inspiration New York City’s greenmarkets. The 327 Farmer’s Market edition comes in three different color stories (Wheat, Pineapple and Pomegranate), and each features a unique icon on the tongue that corresponds to the matching food group-- Grains, Fruits and Vegetables. Says Todd, “We concepted the Farmer’s Market capsule during lockdown. So the design team and I were reminiscing about (and looking forward to) the experience of walking around a farmer’s market on a hot summer day. We wanted these sneakers and jackets to be a colorful reminder of how special that experience is.” The exterior is suede over mesh. The mesh gives the sneakers an easy-breezy summer feel, while the suede gently echoes the materials one might find in a gentleman’s dress shoe. The NB 327 is a modern mash-up of several 1970s NB running shoes (the 320, 355 and Supercomp styles) Enhancing the fun summer vibe is a split color scheme; the colors are literally inverted on the left and right sides of the sneaker.
