Beautifully framed and matted 1 franc postage stamp issued by the French postal service 1967-1970. Image is “The Bather” by French neoclassical painter, Jean-August-Dominique Ingres (1780-1867). Stamp is unused - size is 1 1/2” x 2”. Gilded wood frame. A few pressure marks on raised elements of frame. Very good vintage condition. Circa 1960s.
