Hand Tinted 1920’s Antique Bridal Photo Signed Dexheimer Large 11x14 Original

Photographic pioneer H.P. Dexheimer was a photographer and president of Dexheimer Studio, Inc. of Indianapolis and Columbus, Ohio. His photographic studio operated from ca. 1890 to ca. 1924. Dexheimer moved to Indianapolis around 1924 and operated a studio there. He opened an additional photography studio in Columbus, Ohio ca. 1926 This is one of his portraits from the 1920’s utilizing his interior lighting for which he won a Gold Medal at the 1900’s World’s Fair. He died in 1935. This exquisite example of 1920s photography is 11 x 14“ and hand sign by Dexheimer himself. It features a bride profile view holding holding a Bible. I know the dates from the 1920 because he sold his photographic studio in 1926 and therefore no buttergraphs after that time would have his signature on them.
