Chinese Baoding Therapy Balls have been utilized for centuries as a therapeutic aid for relaxation and stress release, to relax muscles and joints, maintain suppleness and flexibility of the hands, help stimulate blood circulation, and an aid for emotional health. These balls are handcrafted using cloisonne enamel with gold highlights on metal hollow balls that contain chiming plates inside. Each ball has it's own unique rhythmical chime when utilized correctly. The sound aids in the relaxation process. Place them both in one hand and roll them with your thumb and fingers, continuously in either a clockwise or anticlockwise direction. Be careful where you practice using these as you are becoming familiar with them. The cloisonne finish is breakable, as I discovered many years ago. No two balls are identical and colors may vary slightly. The finish is not always perfectly smooth, often you will find a little bubble or two on them.
