16.75" Black Agate and Onyx Necklace with Gold Filled Wire Wrapped Chain This particular piece is approximately 16.75" and features a toggle clasp. The faceted, tear-shaped, polished pendant is Onyx and drops approximately 1.25" below the base of the necklace. The faceted, oval-shaped stones are black agate and are delicately intertwined into the handmade chain alongside gold-filled beads to add to the richness and elegance of the necklace. Black and gold are timeless colors in jewelry but they are certainly perfect colors for winter and evening gown season. Each stone and bead are hand-wrapped into the chain by a labor intensive process called wire-wrapping. This is different than simple stringing. In this case, there was no chain to begin with, it was made from scratch. I do not buy this type of beaded chain pre-made, I make it myself.
