Does "N" Narrow refer to the width at the ball of the foot, or the calf or both? Can you measure for me? Many thanks!!!

OK great, just also let me know the width at the ball of the foot as my other 8 Medium Weitzman boots are too wide. They measure 3 - 5/8" and my shoe ball should be around 3-1/4" or 3-3/8 to be narrow enough. THANKS!

Hi, thanks so much for your work, I decided to go with a 7.5 medium I found elsewhere since I want to wear them over riding pants and leggings, and need the calf to be around 6" + laying flat. Kind regards.....
