Sasha doll Red Pinafore brunette Made in U.K. England rare!

If you know Sasha dolls, you are already familiar with the beauty, design, and history of these exquisite dolls. Sasha Morgenthaler was a woman who lived in Switzerland and wished to create beautiful dolls with child-like proportions and expressions. In fact, Sasha dolls are the only dolls that have the proportion of a child’s body! Getting these dolls produced was incredibly challenging, and they were made in England for about twenty years, until the mid 80s. (Gotz of Germany began producing a new Sasha in the 90s.) I read about Sasha dolls as a very young girl and dreamed of owning one. I was gifted this one, shortly before production ceased. She was never played with, displayed carefully for a few years, then stored carefully. Her hair is lush and was never taken from its original hair style. Her limbs are flexible and firm. She has a few mystery marks which I’m sure a doll expert can advise about. She comes with her shoes (elastic is loose), gingham top, red pinafore, panties, and hair bow. She was very loved (but not “loved” in the euphemistic sense of having been played with) and I’m hoping someone can enjoy her. My home is smoke and pet free, and in addition to fun clothing, we are downsizing many of our collectibles. More to come. 😊
