renees_lux_shop @minniesherry123 I could not find the date code in this bag. However, the price of the bag means it will automatically be sent for authentication by POSHMARK . It is the speedy 40 and measurements are : L 15.8” , W. 9.8”, H. 7.5”. Hope this helps.

belindag1970 Gorgeous bag! According to the dimensions this is a Speedy 40. Its the largest of the 4 original Speedy bags. It might be beneficial to include that style number in your title. It would definitely increase traffic for your listing 🥰

renees_lux_shop @belindag1970 Thanks so much for the info. At 65 I'm never too old to learn. Bought this bag so my daughter would have her own. Like mine this was made in France in the 80's, no internal pockets. They were called " Satchels", the ones made in France, like this had one piece of canvas which meant the monogram was upside down on one side. Those made here had a bottom seam allowing monogram to be right side up on both. Stitches are used in authentication process for those w/o date codes. Thank🥰

belindag1970 @renees_lux_shop Wow! I never knew about the stitches being used for authentication. I have a 30 that is from the French Leather Company (LV made in the USA). It’s 50 years old and belongs to my Aunt. I will be listing it soon, as she needs the money. I just acquired a 40, and would LOVE to keep it, but I need the money, too!

renees_lux_shop @belindag1970 I hear you. I was gifted my 1st used LV in the "80's" from my very wealthy employers. I had no idea what it was or the cost. My cousin talked me into giving it to her which I did. I learnt about designers after I was gifted my 2nd LV by my in-laws after my 5th anniversary in the "90's". I still depend on others to authenticate my purchases. I have a few items I would like to purchase, but am awaiting a few decent sales in my closet. Thanks for visit and good luck with sales.
