Beautiful collectible. May 1950 was the fourth issue of Fleur Cowles' influential oversize magazine, that lasted only one year. This issue – The Rose Issue with beautifully illustrated, cut-out cover – has very clean interior pages and includes articles and illustrations by John O'Hara, Katherine Anne Porter, Idris Bruce Clerke, Helene Walker. Balmain, Revillon Freres, Charles James, Jean Schlumberger, Clare Potter, Adele Simpson, Rene Gruau, etc. Well-illustrated magazine with great advertisements from the period. Features a center spread with gate-fold outs. Pamphlet tipped in entitled: "The Flower of Flowers" by Katherine Anne Porter.
