DO NOT BUY THIS LISTING Watch out for scammers! Don’t buy their items! REPORT SCAM LISTINGS TO POSHMARK! How do you know? Potential red flags: -The price is too good to be true! Sometimes the price changes a little bit from the scam seller! -Weird username -Weird name -Stock photos only -Stolen photos from other sellers—Photos of items look really different, like a different person photographed each listing. Sometimes people put their username on their photos and those get stolen! If an item is reposhed, it’ll say so on the photos with a watermark posh puts on the photos. Those are not stolen photos, but check the seller’s closet to make sure it looks ok! -Brand new account -A new listing appears as soon as the prior item was sold. You’ll see multiple of the exact same items listed many times, and a clue is when COPY begins the listing. COPY can be a legit listing—check the seller’s closet! -Other people’s questions aren’t answered -Seller won’t bundle -Listing title isn’t really a title -Item description isn’t really a description -A popular brand name item is sold for a very cheap price when it is otherwise being sold above retail PROTECT YOURSELF! Before you buy any item, go to the seller’s closet to make sure it all makes sense. Review their profile to see if they’ve been around awhile. ANY OTHER TIPS?! pnrs_closet @sonshop34 There are many reasons, so who really knows! Some potential reasons: —To collect personal info, possibly to use for Amazon purchase and verified reviewer scams. They send a piece of junk to you by purchasing it on Amazon then use that purchase to write a review that is marked as verified. —They drop ship stuff, and maybe it’s the actual item (not lululemon tho) or a piece of junk. Then hope you get your item and accept the listing before it times out on Poshmark. (Reply 1 of 2)

pnrs_closet @sonshop34 (Reply 2 of 2) —They literally send you a piece of cardboard trash using the posh label and hope you forget to accept or check your mail and let the three days pass so they get their funds. —Who knows what else. If you do an internet search “fulfilled merchant Poshmark scams,” you’ll see a couple of pages. One has an example of a scam listing they bought. One is also a good indicator of how to spot a scammer. I am not associated with that website but find the information useful.

misscarriexox @gomesita it can’t be to make $, they’re posting bags for $11 with free shipping - that’s only $.38 profit !! Doesn’t make sense but it’s making Poshmark look untrustworthy for new buyers out there

pnrs_closet @misscarriexox Yeah, I don’t think it’s worth the trouble either. Maybe it works better for items at a higher price, but it’s one of the reasons they do it. Doubtful for the belt bags, shoes, jewelry, etc like this though…

danmart570 I wasn't thinking about them collecting personal info .I figured they probably bought somewhere in bulk and could make some kinda profit selling a lot for cheap. I knew the umbrellas wouldn't be real but I figured it's only umbrellas. I'll NEVER buy cheap again. Thanks to you. I wish posh could do something.

danmart570 @gomesita I don't know what to do now that I purchased from scammers. I found 2 that say they don't have any listings yet, even though they did. And 1 which still has listings. I've sent an inquiry to posh. It's my own fault. But they can't get my bank account info, right?

pnrs_closet @danmart570 If it’s been within three hours you can cancel your order. They shouldn’t have access to your financial institutions if you didn’t give it to them. They have the same info you’d have as a seller. Just keep an eye on your mail and if any new accounts have been opened in your name, and report them immediately if you didn’t open them.

danmart570 It's been over 3 hours. In fact 1 was 5 days ago. Though says that it's been shipped there's no tracking. I've report all 3 to posh . I didn't give them any personal info. So just whatever they can get from Posh . OMG you've been ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH. But I have a dumb question . What should I be watching for in my mail. ?

pnrs_closet @danmart570 Hopefully it’s just that they’re going to buy something on Amazon shipped to you, write a review, and that makes it look like a verified review. Or that no new accounts somewhere were opened in your name. Hopefully it’s just that they’re hoping you’ll accept this “order” but that won’t work if they didn’t actually ship anything.
