Adidas: Stan Smith Primegreen Sustainable Vegan Sneakers

Giving the Stan Smith, Superstar, Continental 80, and the Supercourt an all-white makeover complete with eco-conscious messaging adidas Originals continues its vegan leather adventure with the release of four sustainably active sneakers. “This shoe alone will not save the planet” is printed on the rear-quarter of each shoe. Adidas Originals adds a “Clean Classics” logo complete with the recycling symbol on the tongue, and continues to brand-up the shoe with more nods to its vegan nature printed on the insole. The silhouette are made from vegan leather with a 100 percent recycled polyester lining, and feature outsoles that are made from go percent natural rubber and 10 percent waste rubber content. Superstar also feature a vegan shell-toe, while others such as the Continental 80 sport an algae-based EVA foam midsole, which adidas says "helps clean at least 10 liters of polluted lake water." All four pairs retail for €99 EUR (approx. $117 USD).
