I’m still researching this beautiful brooch. Like many antiques of the 1700s and 1800s it features a closed back setting with no metal identification or a maker’s mark. The red stone is a pronged Table (flat) cut and the pearls are a Rose (half) cut. However, it has a locking closure. I am not a gemologist, so stay tuned! Measurements 2 inches x .75 inches.

lolas_boutique_ @merri_graceland you have a GREAT closet! I appreciate your support all the time as well with parties. I love this piece but I think from my experience with vintage and antique jewelry this is a lovely reproduction, the clasp is a very new style antique clasp are very distinctive and different. take a look on Google about different clasps it will teach you so much about age.
