1940s vintage Mexico bangle bracelet made up of four curved hinged panels of sterling silver. Each panel is intricately stamped and inlaid with turquoise chips in a geometric pattern that's in keeping with Mayan revivalism, one of the themes during Mexico's modernist silver movement which had begun around the 1930s. The silver movement was mostly centered in the city of Taxco, although fine silver jewelry making was going on in other parts of Mexico as well. This bracelet was made some time before 1948 when Mexico implemented the eagle assay mark system which was to stay in place for roughly 20 years. This bracelet is very old, but still in beautiful condition! The stamp has been worn down however, and all that is clearly visible is "MEXICO" and "925". I am happy to answer any questions!
