Vintage Max Koop CA paisley floral midi dress 1940’s

Elegant vintage dress by Max Koop in a beautiful silky gold and turquoise ribbed rayon (?) fabric that drapes exquisitely. The textile is a combination of paisley and floral garlands- the gold color has slightly peachy undertones. Unlined. Closes with two metal snaps (loop for the metal hook and loop needs to be restitched, but dress closes properly without it. Waist measures about 13.75 inches across laid flat (fabric has no stretch) and about 18 inches pit to pit laid flat. Measures about 47” shoulder to hem on mannequin. Slight fading on the sleeves - see photos, and a few areas with light spotting that isn’t very noticeable- see photos; also a couple of small holes that were only discernible from the back side of the fabric. One small hole on one underarm. Such an elegant dress and wonderful example of American mid-century fashion.
