Adorable Montgomery Ward's Carol Brent Empire Waist Dress in a deep aubergine soft lace over a black taffeta with satin sewn in belt and bow at back.
Bust darts as shown, high scoop neck, front hangs straight and simple
Back has an angled, low cut, bow and satin belt, metal zipper closure, gathered at empire waist and lace is opened which isn't apparent, due to gathers.
Excellent vintage condition although bow would need some more snaps to sit flat.

Ahhh! Yes. Montgomery Ward was my grandma’s go-to place to take me back to school shopping in the 80s. When there was still a Wards at Thomas Mall in east Phx.

@glamour_vintage I don't recall shopping at Montgomery Ward ever but to have fond memories of shopping with your grandmother is sweet. My grandmother made a few pieces of clothing for me as she was a dressmaker. This is such a sweet dress. Thank you❣️
