Chanel Large Pearl Shield Earrings

These 1980s Chanel earrings are in impeccable vintage condition and designed by Victoire de Castallane. They feature a raised gold shield design with a central faux mabe pearl surrounded by 5 smaller pearls, all of which have a textured design. Each earring measures 4cm in diameter and early Chanel jewellery was always 24ct gold-plated. The designers signature is located below the clip fastenings on both pieces with season '23' which corresponds to 1984 as the year of manufacture. A delicious combination of kitsch and classic Chanel design, these are a wonderful addition to any collection and have seen little use in their lifetime.
