The boxy bodice and the pencil skirt, combined with the attached sash, make this dress a classy, flattering choice. The silk is soft, thick, and suede-like. This dress is freshly hand washed in a nonsmoking (but pet friendly) home. -As far as repairs go, the elastic in the waist is crunchy due to age, and needs to be replaced (a tailor or home sewist can do this easily). There are small snags on the skirt and blue front panel of the bodice (photos 4 and 5), as well mild discoloration on the blue panel at the front of the bodice (photo 6).
