Copper is one of the friendliest elements as it combines with many others. To find copper this pure in nature is more difficult than finding pure gold. Our yellow metal is Jeweler's Brass, an alloy of 85% pure copper and 15% pure zinc, both essential minerals worn since prehistoric times by many non-related cultures around the world. Our white metal is German silver, which is 65% pure copper plus zinc, nickel and silver. As noted, some of our silver-tone models are made using sterling silver, which is 92.5% silver, with copper added for strength.
