Unique, cherry red, lucite?, translucent, early plastic , twin orbs on this likely antique, jabot bar pin. The stem screws into one end so you can create an illusion of floating baubles when you secure a scarf, adorn a hat or sweater or lapel. 3/4” x 2”. Very good condition for its age, no notable flaws visible. This style of pin was used in the 18th century to secure a jabot (a dangling ruffle) adorning men’s shirts as well as women’s dress collars. Versatile vintage accessory for sure. Likely from the 1920’s - 1930’s when the popularity of this style pin resurfaced when Cartier produced some beautiful, bejeweled jabot pins. Use this screw, stick pin for your favorite hat, shawl, cape, scarf or go bold and elegantly attach a ruffle to your shirt collar!
