True Vintage 1940s Black Evening Cocktail Dress by Chas A. Stevens & Co. Chicago. Top of the dress is velvet and the pleated waist detail and skirt is taffeta. Rare, larger size. Approximate measurements are: Bust: 41” Waist: 32” Hips: free Length. Shoulder to hem: 48” Length. Waist to hem: 30” Please note: this dress won’t fit properly if you are short waisted but you could alter it. Excellent mint condition except there is a slight rubbing of the velvet on the back near the waist- see photo. Very minor but wanted to point out everything. It also has belt loops but no belt.
