Vintage - Blown Emerald Green Depression Glass Covered Compote ~ Covered Candy Dish with Pedestal ~ Gold Gilding…Stripes, Leaves and Trim ~ intage Art Deco ~ Hollywood Regency Era ~ blown Emerald Green Depression Glass Covered Compote with gold gilding…stripes and leaf trim....This is an early covered pedestal dish in lovely condition. The blown glass lid has a wonderful shape making it easy to remove with the tips of your fingers. Both top and bottom pieces have gold gilding strategically placed for accent consisting of large and small leaves, stems, seeds and buds. The pedestal stem of the bowl has a gold striped bulging bead that adds character to what otherwise would be a straight stem. Bringing minor imperfections to your attention…though they are very consistent with vintage items: There is some loss of gold color due to age and use however, again…this is quite consistent with vintage pieces. It does not detract from the aesthetic beauty of the piece but simply adds character and speaks of a lost era. Approximate Measurements: 9.5" tall, 5.25" mid bowl diameter, 3.75" pedestal bottom diameter.
