bohobargains4u My sales have gone to about zero since the live shows started. I was already giving away my items at below-bargain prices. I am not happy they did not allow everyone to do the live shows. I am a posh posh ambassador II since the live shows my sales have gone to about zero. If they do not change this platform back to way it use to be without live shows. I will delete my closet.

jbobeenie SAME!!! UGH. There must be a solution to help us regular sellers. I do like watching the live shows for entertainment - but I have to say some of the live shows are great and some are awful.. like terrible and almost embarasing to watch. I really think Poshmark needs to impose rules of how the shows are run and obviously they need to offer more training and somehow filter out the totally stupid ones. And people that are selling stuff for $3.....what is that? you make .05 cents.

PM is a shopping app. shop at ur own pace NOT A 30 SECOND AUCTION! a lot of sellers have TOO MUCH INVENTORY and want to get rid of it so they push $3 and $5..people will buy bundles of items.. duganfamily Interesting comments. I agree totally. I am bombarded daily with communications about live shows. Some Poshers seem to have three or four shows a day. Ridiculous.😠 i’m just a part-time posher trying to downsize my closet after retirement. So my inventory is what it is. I can’t imagine what it would be like if this was a full-time endeavor

I sometimes look at how many people are watching a show.. some will have 4 to 8 others maybe 15..The sellers that will showcase other closets items have over 100 people watching. They're so desperate to get an item shown.. Not worth it.. I'm not clear as to how PM chose the closets that they did.. I'm so sorry..Praying it gets better🌹

She owned a consignment store & it’s always been my dream to own my own. It’s my passion to resell. I don’t want to go live. Live shows have changed a lifelong dream into a nightmare. I came across a closet that does live shows that has counterfeit LV and YSL bags.. Not sure if she includes them in live shows.. It takes a few weeks or a couple weeks for PM to give access. Contact member support and see if they respond with direction on what to do.. I pray for all of us!

I know its tempting for some sellers to buy from shows to resell, but they're screwing themselves by lowering their own comps and lowering profits for all of us . And yes, .. any posh listing created will show up on a search engine like google, if the keywords you type are in your listing. Hopefully PM will at least separate those that want to do lives and those that don't. They don't blend well on the same platform rn! Best wishes to you too!

carolsturgeon Since live shows began my sales have died. They were never lower than they were in February. I don't understand how sellers can sell things for $3 or $5 and make enough profit to compensate for the time and effort. Quality on Poshmark is tanking and some of the shows are very poorly done. I'm so disappointed and will stop selling if things don't turn around soon.

carolsturgeon @diane_valdez I do. I've sold online since 2007. I've seen platform after platform change and cater to biggest sellers or allow sellers to undercut everyone else. Poshmark was one of my last hopes. Postage cost increases don't help either. I rarely buy online anymore because there are too many sellers who misrepresent what they sell. Too many poor quality items. It impacts those of us who pay attention to detail and stand by what we sell with integrity.

Because the item was 2 OZ over the 1lb they charged me double of what the initial postage was.. this is the 2nd time it's happened.. although they don't take as much of sales proceeds as PM, it's the shipping that gets me.. Haven't had a sale here on PM in over a week

carolsturgeon @diane_valdez I feel your pain. I know things change and that as sellers we have to adapt and change based on the market. When increasing costs and low ball sellers drive many of us out of business there isn't much we can do to compensate. I can't give things away and I can't absorb shipping costs. I'm considering finding a niche market but have to do some research. I'm tired of the struggle. Maybe it's time to quit. It was a great run while it lasted.

I am not happy at all being a Posh Ambassador II watching my sales go down almost 50% with me providing bargains on wonderful unique items. bohobargains4u @alexchris_89 Open the Poshmark App: Go to notifications Scroll down until you see Posh Shows if the button is green it is on if it not green its off. After that you have keep scrolling all the way down in notifications. Keep scrolling all the way to the list and if you still Posh Shows make sure to turn toggle that one off as well. So far this is working for me. I will put a ad up in my closet with pictures if that will help you. You have to make sure you find both of the them for it work! :)

I did venture out to the “M” site a few years ago and also a “C” site where I also cross reference my items. Posh has always been my favorite but not anymore:(. I’m so disappointed and disheartened that this site has become a large live garage sale. I can’t compete with items going for $3 and $5. It’s not worth my time. This site has become a clown show tbh…:(

I offer huge discounts on bundles. The lowest I use to go was $7 or $8. I have lowered my price to $5 with no shipping discount. I offered shipping discount when my sales were up.

melson6971 I now sell on three other re-sell sites and have created spreadsheets. In the month of March alone I have twice as many sales on the other sites than on Poshmark. Looking back on my spreadsheets there is a direct correlation to when live shows started. I’m not pushing Poshmark sales any longer and am starting to move away from listing new stuff on here.

They couldn't help so I turned off all notifications. Eventually went from hundreds a day to dozens. Now I am averaging about 10 live notifications a day. I also unfollow anyone doing shows. I'm still hoping that we will have a button in the app soon and can just toggle them off.

The site is turning into a garage sale. people who attend the shows see the majority of sellers selling M.k and Coach bags at 10$ buyers who do shop closets now expect to see ridiculously low prices and if they dont they move on to a closet that does. sellers who price there items at 5$ are bringing down the market value of the item.

pjsattic Posh means high end. Posh’s tv commercial advertises them as a place to sell your pre-owned designer items. The live shows are garage sales. The public image does match the platform. Buyers won’t purchase anything that isn’t under $10.

Now it does ZERO good to share items and help promote one another - that was part of the premise of this site. Im also frustrated as a buyer. poshsalesgirl @88prettythings They don’t make money by offering other people’s items. The reason they do it is to draw bigger crowds to the sale. The other person has to be present at the sale in order for their item to be featured, so the person running the show has another potential buyer for their own items. The concept is interesting, but Poshmark has been destroyed. So much for sticking to their core.

I see alot of counterfeit items, too.. When I started 5 years ago, my intention was to clear my closet.. Many closets are lively hoods that are just destroyed.. Please don't give up.. sell on other platforms but keep this closet as well.. We need more people to follow my golden rule.. "DONT WATCH DONT BUY"

Maybe buyers will get tired of the ‘shows’ format. I still have not made a sale, it’s about a month now, not even an offer, which I pretty much accept all offers. I just want to pass along items that no longer fit or I do not need anymore.I accept most & past offers have been reasonable. shows selling at 3-5 $? After PM fees, it’s not worth cost of wrapping, card, gift & tape for shipping! I have much more to list but I’m holding off. I feel terrible for all of you out there with large inventory investments.

shoregirl73 @missmansouri make sure if you unfollow, you have to unlike any items you’ve liked as well. Once you’ve done that, you won’t see their show listings in your feed. It’s ridiculous that we have to spend so much time just to stop this craziness in our feed!

When I first started using Poshmark in 2016, I received a decent amount of likes, comments, sales, and just general activity on my account (despite having terrible pictures, lol 😅). Even though now I put more work into my account, the output doesn’t reflect that, and I feel like my account and many others are unfavorably buried by the algorithm. Not a fan 👎🏼

ujeanco Selling items at $3 and $5 is devaluing another people items and I don’t know what profit anyone is making from that nonsense. What profit is Poshmark getting from that nonsense? It is also messing up comps when buyers check for similar items and see it was previously sold for $5 or $10 they expect other sellers to offer them a lower price. It’s just so annoying and is completely destroying reselling on Poshmark!

tlsee4u I can’t stand the live shows or the “auction”. If I want to auction my clothes I would choose a different company to sell them through. Now I have other poshmark sellers that offer me the biggest lowball offers just so that they can turn around and sell it for $3 on their shows. Its turned into a live podcast and not even about selling anything. My sales have tanked tremendously or any offer that I get is not even worth the hassle.

Resellers drove prices up. the sellers that are selling items so cheap are coming from palettes, dirty bins at the goodwill (this where thrift stores send unsold inventory).. there's enough $$ to be nade by all but some are just greedy

It takes a lot of work to source, photo, and list even as a side hustle WITHOUT DOING LIVE SHOWS. This post is about sales dying because of live shows. I know that every now and again I receive emails, and I believe it's at the top of notifications to sign up for those posh and sips or posh and coffee to get the opportunity to go live..

379_vintage I agree and I dislike the lives and being bombarded with the notifications. Another new addition they are currently testing with select poshers (if you haven't heard yet) is Promoted Listings! From what I understand they will be paying a fee to promote their closet to get more views and clicks which is supposed to of course lead to more sales. As if their already high fees are not enough. This will obviously only benefit the larger closets.

The only closets that will benefit are the ones that bring in a lot of money, it will make it almost impossible for the rest of us and I don't know if it will even be worth any of it at that point. All we can do is see how it goes and try and find other platforms in the meantime. I do like PM but the way it's been lately or since they changed ownership, it's just making it so difficult to even make a sale anymore.

I contacted Poshmark support only to be told they can do nothing about them. Total lies!! So sad that what was once a great selling platform is such a joke now. angiehillus I'm increasingly getting fed up with Poshmark. You can never speak to a human when things go wrong, you just get a form email and never a direct response to your question. I see people selling fakes and nothing is done to those sellers yet I sold a pair of Vivienne Westwood boots that I bought in her shop in London and PM wouldn't authenticate them! The live shows have completely destroyed my sales. I used to make 5-8 sales per day, now I'm lucky if it's 1-2 per week

It's enough that we have to engage constantly by sharing. I'm glad that I sell on different sites but PM was great when it was simpler. Now it's just a s***show with live shows and low-ballers. thandiepixie My experience with the live shows is that sellers are now using the opportunity to sell fake items.. probably because there’s less scrutiny. I sell premier designer shoes and attended a live show of a very popular posh ambassador who routinely sells Louboutins and other designer brands. She was auctioning a pair of new size 5 Loubs for ridiculously low price so I joined the bidding and won.

thandiepixie Now I typically do not sell Loubs because I’m not familiar with how to authenticate them but I felt confident in purchasing this pair because they were from this particular seller. When they arrived, the body looked ok to my untrained eye but I thought the markings on soles and insoles were not quite like others I had seen however, I did not know enough to say they were fake and so I listed them.

thandiepixie Not 2 hours into the listing, a popular Loubs seller posted “SO FAKE” in all caps. I immediately deactivated the listing and reported to Poshmark. They had already released funds to the horrible seller but they still refunded my money to their credit. Lesson learned for me. I immediately stopped attending live shows and stock only to purchasing from my trusted supplier. I’ve never had a fake item reported and this experience really shook me up!

melson6971 @thandiepixie have you tried using Vendo ? Makes listing so easy. There is a monthly fee but it’s awesome ! My sales are horrendous on here now. Thinking of closing my poshmark account. Doing WAY better with E and M . Another nice thing about Vendo is that when you sell an item you tell Vendo where you sold it and for how much and it delists automatically from the other sites. Anyway, I think we all agree that Poshmark just sucks now. Soon I will be gone from here.

lisacloset_ 100% agree!! Give closets who do not do live auctions more exposure. They should come up with plans to implement ways to improve all the closets not receiving sales or lack of. Personally, I felt more were suffering from the lives.. the others said we need to accept the change and the new direction PM is going.. before I go on, I will say this, we should have a choice to sell directly from closets or sell via live show bidding without it effecting our sales negatively.

ingridwhitworth I'm with you 1,000%! So over the lives shows and want no part in doing them. Poshmark is circling the drain. Their stock went public, then they sold to another company, stock has since been delisted and is now off of Nasdaq. With all the frustration, closets closing, and even buyers leaving, because of the ridiculous flooding of live show notifications (even with them turned off!), you would think they would make changes quickly to resolve the issues, but nooooo.

I also noticed people get so caught up in the moment that they bid ridiculous amounts for items you can find in a closet for half of what the bid winner paid.. the shows are loud and obnoxious..

My stuff is not from consignment shops. Posh just keeps telling me to share more. The company sold for 1billion and new people keeping Posh name.

losangeles_love I literally was just talking to my husband about this. The shows have killed our sales and we were doing well. The shows start bids at so low & that’s what people are now heading towards. It’s not fair for those of us that have good products to sell AND WORTH MORE. Poshmark was suppose to be different from the other 4 letter online auction store that Poshmark will not let me write. Resorting to how they first started. Not with the live shows, but with the low low starting bids. WE PROTEST!

playitagainpm @losangeles_love Hi! oh, I contacted them as well, as I'm sure thousands of others. They do not respond... Lives are here to stay, unfortunately.. The only thing we can do is jump on the bandwagon and go live or do silent shoes.. I will not be doing either.. keep listing bulk share as many times a day as u can and follow at least 500 new closets a day.. all this needs to be done daily!!

losangeles_love @playitagainpm I don’t know how much I believe that people are being proactive about this. I’m going to look for another platform where to sell. I am good at sharing etc. It’s not about that, not willing to sell items for three dollars or five dollars or seven dollars. That’s the way the other online auction store started years ago. I was with them over 20 years ago. Anyhoo I’m exploring other avenues. Thank you.

losangeles_love @playitagainpm was going to ask if anyone’s tried them. Been selling online for over 2 decades. Had an online store, started selling on PM 1 year ago. BIG drop of sales when those live shows came in. Will continue to research for other avenues. TYSM. Yes, it’s very frustrating. Is all they care about making $3 off of those $15 & under sales which is ridiculous. Again I have reached out to them, this is a real issue that is hurting many. Cheers💖

playitagainpm @losangeles_love Just an FYI.. There are many sellers that say drop in sales is not bc of the lives. it's because of our closets😳 This is a side hustle for me.. I don't sell high-end bc I keep that for myself.. I've never had a problem selling what I have.. so those people can kick rocks! BTW u have a GREAT closet!! Cheers, Mama!🌹

losangeles_love @playitagainpm PM pretty much implanted in potential buyers heads that they can get items as low as $3. tha so they'll wait to see if ones closet will go live. As of late a few buyers have retracted from their buy it now purchases. Which is also UNFAIR they get 3 hours to change their mind, 30 mins should be their window. That never use to happen before the LIVES.

365lovelife I commented earlier on here. What I've noticed is Poshmark is becoming more of a yard sale site with many of these shows. Regarding notifications, I started to unfollow but what I've also noticed is I'll get 3-4 show notifications for one person within 15 min and why are we getting notifications for live shows in Canada when we can't even buy! We should be able to opt out of these notifications like we are given for other notifications.

playitagainpm @365lovelife I received notifications from 1 live show host about 28 within 52 minutes.. I monitored it.. I nicely mentioned it in her show, and her feathers got ruffled.. I get notifications from Canada too, and you know they're bringing live shows from India this month. I don't know ow if it's a 1 time thing but PM plans to go global.. All countries being able to shop in closets worldwide

thatfunkypiece Agree with all of you. My sakes have been cut in half. I go days with no sales. I have been letting things go for cheap just to get a sale. Not happy at all. Very disappointed.

I too lowered my prices..I swear, buyers are like vultures..they swoop in on desperation and next to nothing BUT go to their closets their items are $200 $300 a d whatever they bought next to nothing will be listed with a 1000% mark up

Just saw the thrifty comment… all my items come from my Beverly Hills home & Palm Springs home with a small exception of my sisters items. All authentic and smoke-free homes. lrl72 @playitagainpm I don’t think PM will go back to the old (better) ways. Personally, I think everything about live shows is obnoxious, including the nonstop notifications. Browsing the shops (rather than attending a live auction for junk) was part of the PM experience. I wish a long-term Posher would start their own business to compete with PM and bring along the best parts of it. :)

giftoftheeagle @playitagainpm Hi all! i just watched an AshleyWheeler8 interview on you tube and apparantely she just made $100,000 on live shows. Now because of needing to spend more time with her family and perhaps a bit of burn out she is only doing live shows once a week. She truly seems like a lovely and genuine person. She is now helping Poshmark teach about the live shows and says lives are here to stay.

giftoftheeagle i personally think the app is going to go to just lives. Apparently, also our closets are not shwing up in google searches, because the new owner wants it that way, in order to force more participation in live shows. I also heard someone else say the algorithm burys your closet if you don't participate in lives. while I don't know for certain if any of its true, it makes sense since sales have fallen off a cliff.

giftoftheeagle I don't know what Im going to do yet. I personally think this is a fad on poshmark and people will just burn out on it, unless they feel addicted to it, sort of like gambling. Lives feel way too much like 9-5 jobs and these people are not making money while they sleep. And it is a huge effort for little return. But of course Poshmark doesn't care since they are paid first.

I have been considering other platforms and listening to you tubers, and I think I am going to also try other platforms because of how cutthroat Posh has become meaning sellers vs the Posh App and its favor towards the live shows. I can't underdstand why they have dropped support for the sellers not doing lives. Hope everyone here Starts having better sales!

thriftybanana I totally agree!! while I myself enjoy a live show or two, they have taken over Poshmark and have killed regular sales. I haven't sold a thing nor had a bite in months and months and months since the live shows started. I'm going to be closing this closet and moving my merchandise.

bkb1 I am venting again! I just got an offer for $10 on a $39 coat. Getting so many lowball offers This is not a garage sale.& all my profits go to the Humane Society. Just because the live shows are $3 & $5 Doesn’t mean everyone else’s closet is that amount. I always respond and treat everybody with kindness but I’m just getting so tired. I don’t even think I’m going to respond to the offer

I am worried about Poshmark and what’s going to happen and it’s very frustrating because there’s only so much we can and can’t do. I like to find a solution to problems and on the Poshmark one I don’t have any answers. I appreciate you having this post here I’ve left messages for Poshmark no response back

momooshka I’m so tired of getting 100 notifications a day about live shows. My posh stats have been at 97% for the last year and I don’t have access to do live shows but I’m not even sure that I would. jspotboutique I can do lives but I can't do them often. I like looking for what I want and just buying or making an offer. I've been getting some ridiculous offers from people since lives shows have spread to more people and sales have dropped. I put work into my closet on here. I have a variety of items and nice stuff but I'm not selling it for $3 or $5...... or selling a Louis Vuitton Bag for $100..... it's insane the offers I get now. I got a few ridiculous offer before but now it's out of hand.

jspotboutique And it will take forever to crosslist my entire closet. I feel pressure to do lives because sales have gone down. It was much better before lives. They ruined poshmark. I don't dislike people who do them. I understand the pressure. I don't see stuff I'm actually looking for on lives most of the time. People are getting robbed on the shows... most of them. If you offer regular prices... still a deal... people aren't happy with that now. I've sent out lower offers too.

tikigirl100 Thanks for posting this! I’m just a few thousand shares away from becoming a Posh Ambassador 2, and ready to delete my account once I cross over to the other platforms. The shows have absolutely crushed my sales, and it’s no longer worth my time. It feels like Poshmark has turned into more of a TikTok platform than a community to resell items. My feed is filled with shows, and all the offers, likes and comments just get lost in the chaos. It’s disappointing, absurd, and just plain obnoxious.

tikigirl100 @giftoftheeagle LOL, it’s all become a waste of my time, and crossing over to other platforms seems to be the move, especially if Narvar, the company that acquired Poshmark is ignoring our complaints. It all started going downhill when they took over. The live shows are the equivalent of walking into a store and being accosted by sales people. Who wants to shop like that?!? I’d prefer to browse in peace, and not have $6 junk that’s destined for the landfill shoved in my face.

tikigirl100 @ndtradingpost yesterday I opened a Mer**** account, and sold a dress that was listed on Poshmark for over a year, within just a couple hours of listing. So far so good, and I like that it’s no nonsense. You don’t need 50,000 followers or to waste hours of your time sharing other people’s stuff to make a sale.

ndtradingpost @tikigirl100 mer**** is no nonsense compared to the time you gotta put in here, but, mer**** search results favor new listings, so for maximum effect you need to relist after some time, which I'm not a big fan of. but i have been with mer**** for 5 years, sold a fair amount of stuff. posh does beat mer **** every month for me though, as far as sales goes.

ldemarco6 @tikigirl100 so now in order to unfollow people you have to use two keystrokes - one to Unfollow and then another keystroke on the bottom to make it go thru. It’s bad enough we can’t stop all the annoying live show announcements on our feed but now it’s more work to unfollow. I complained about it but they just said they would send it to their development team ugh

ldemarco6 @tikigirl100 I have the shows turned off too but it doesn’t work- I emailed PM about it and once again, they did nothing. Now you have to do 2 keystrokes to unfollow: when you hit the follow tab it used to just change to unfollow now when you hit it, it gives a drop down and you have to choose unfollow AGAIN. Like it wasn’t annoying enough doing it once ugh🤬

bellanova88 PM changed the Rules in the middle of the game. Yeah a lot of the live shows are cringy, campy , weird, whatever, that's what this platform wants to do? Very little trust in a platform that sets something up one way then changes the rules mid game when people have invested SO much. PM has poor business ethics. it doesn't care about the sellers obviously, just gimmicks and it's bottom line.

I’ll keep my Posh account open, but not going to waste anymore of my time with their silly games. I’ve had great success moving my things over to another platform, can barely keep up with the sales!
