Barbizon Peignoir Lounge Set, 1940s Era Robe and Nightgown

Coming Soon! Singular (within family) ownership! This lovely garment belonged to my grandmother. Beautiful 1940s era peignoir sleepwear set of two pieces, a fluttery bell sleeve robe and delicate, tie waist gown. Tagged a size 12 Miss, best fits a modern petite XS - S. The garments are made up of layered semi-sheer nylon, very smooth and comfortable when worn, in beautiful shades of misty, seafoam blue-green. Eyelet lace makes up some incredible details on the sleeves of the robe. Both pieces are exclusively tie-on and pull over style, with no metal closures. In excellent, carefully-kept-and-looked-after vintage condition, freshly washed and ready to wear. There are some areas with very light color variations, almost entirely unnoticeable. This is simply from age and storage, no water marks or staining. There are some light lines and ripples on the town, as pictured, only visible under close scrutiny.
