Larger Limoges Hand Painted Trinket Box with Birds of Paradise Peint Main

Limoges. This is a lovely larger oval porcelain trinket box with lid. The scene is pheasants or birds of paradise. It is very nicely Handpainted and Signed "Eleanor" on the bottom right of the lid. . . I verified under a magnifying glass that it was not transferware. It does not, however, specifically have the words " peint main" on the bottom. It is quite heavy. * Dimensions: see photos * Condition: Good preowned condition. There is a dent or irregularity on the underneath edge of the lid under the gold line (see photo 10) and perhaps some shallower indentations elsewhere on lid rim. There are some minor irregularities or loss in the gold line around the edge of the lid ( see photos 11 &12). . . mostly from manufacturing. There is a bit of faint scuffing on the bottom footing.
