Hand-crafted, and hand-painted, beautiful and petite, Takahashi Japanese ceramic mug, out of San Francisco.
After the war, the Takahashis returned to San Francisco and opened a dry goods store called Takahashi Trading Co. at 1661 Post Street in Japantown. They exported medicines, clothing, and other staples to war-torn Japan and soon began importing traditional items, like folk pottery, lacquerware, and musical instruments.
The Takahashi market, satisfying Japanese, Hawaiian, and Asian foods since 1906. From its inception as a general-purpose store selling clothing, boots, and other household supplies, Takahashi Market has continued to serve the Asian and Hawaiian community for more than 100 years.
I feel that this mug is perfect for the avid tea sipper, or the light coffee drinker. It's a beautiful mug to add to your existing mug collection. Let this mug become your favorite go to mug, and start your day in a happy way. Don't drink tea or coffee, then look at how great this would look at a small planter, huh? Gorgeous!
