gracegirlz Hi😇 I’ve not tried Bernie Dexter dresses. Do you think this would fit a 36” bust? My rib cage/under bust is about 28” I think. Thanks so much 🥰

roadatlas Hello, I'm hesitant to say because I am just familiar with my own smaller bust size! The rib cage measurement would work, it is 15.5" across under the bust and narrows to just over 14" at the waist. Those two measurements do not have much stretch so they would need to be that size or just under for a good fit. The bust is 17" with a little stretch because there is pleating in the bust (elastic at the top of the pleating too). But I am not certain about the sizing of this area for a larger bust.

roadatlas The "pocket" where the pleating is for bust, is 4" tall. I have heard women say that this Paris style is too small for larger busts, but I am unsure what size bust they are referring to! I'm sorry, I know I'm not being very helpful, but perhaps those points could help you determine if it might be a good fit? I stretched the elastic and it does have about 3" stretch before it seems like it would look overstretched. If anyone reading this has some input, please let us know!!

dressedupkitten Hi there! Since you’re asking to step in… Wondering if this is for sure the measurement for the waist. I own this in an XL but it’s too big so I’m looking to buy the L. HOWEVER, the L sounds much too small at the waist? The XL is 15.75 and yet it feels quite large on. Any chance of uploading a pic with the tape measure on the waist? 😘

roadatlas I re-measured and it does appear to be 14.5" at the waist. I added the last 2 pics, showing where I measured. The bust is apx 17" with a little extra room because of the pleats and elastic at the bust area. I hope that's helpful. Let me know if you have any more questions!

dressedupkitten That’s very helpful, actually. I will double check my measurements and see. also my item has not been washed and sometimes Bernies tend to shrink even when they haven’t been thrown in the dryer 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

roadatlas That's true, and I've also noticed sometimes even the same style runs a little differently. That's why I always want to post the measurements, it's kind of unpredictable even if you know the brand!
