Art Deco Kodak Brownie Holiday (1953-1962) Vintage Camera Designed By Arthur H. Crapsey
Successful lineage of 127 film cameras produced by Kodak under the name “Baby Brownie” started in 1930’s and continued even in 1950’s with this little camera, known as Brownie Holiday. It was designed by Arthur H. Crapsey, who slowly started to move from the classical Art-Deco style into simplified and more modern forms.
The shutter and the film format remained practically the same. If you decide to try it and bring some nostalgia this season, the film type is 127 and it’s still available today for purchase, for about $20 per roll.
The body is made of real Bakelite, a “wonder material” from the 1920’s and 1930’s that changed the world and allowed the designers to create art. Bakelite was the first material that could be molded and once the piece was ready, it was hard, durable, scratch resistant and glossy, unlike plastics we know today.
Camera is in excellent condition, with fully functional shutter, perfectly clean, tight and ready to produce art even today.
There are 3 Art Deco Brownies currently listed in my closet. Bundle them together, get the special offer and have a small collection that represents the evolution of design ideas. They are decorative, even more beautiful when displayed together and you will have an excellent story to entertain and and impress your guests.

So are these actual working cameras?

@lov78 Hi Lori, yes, all Kodak Brownies are functional cameras, you just need a special film size which is different than today's standards of 35 mm, and you'd need to find a store which can develop them. I can send you the link where you can purchase film for them.

@style_and_stars Thank you so much!

@lov78 Baby Brownies use film format known as 127, which is a bit difficult to find, but specialized photo-stores do have it:
