Might be a subjective question - but does this fit like a small or true to size 4? I have some Mara Hoffman skirts in 6 that fit nice, but this one is pretty so I might take a chance.

@wildnettles i'm glad you asked because I am an extra small and this tends to fit me well. It is high waisted so you can adjust it to go higher. It depends. I have some clients that are different in skirts versus pants. Because their waist is extra small and therefore getaway with skirts in extra small. Pants is another story because it requires more precision as they have more to fill-in and & less wiggle room.

If you are a true small, then I would probably hold back. Mara Hoffman is not consistent in her sizing. SHE just stepped down as a designer and closing her company. She just announced it the other day. 😪😪😪 so if you decide not to get this skirt I would do go to Hoffmann listings and double down on things you love because those things are gonna go.

@elleq2290 I love your answers. So thoughtful! Thank you. And so sad she’s stepping down. Hmmm I’m a 4/6 in bottoms but given that you are an XS, this skirt might be too small for me. The other Mara Hoffman skirt I have in 6 fits perfectly. Just to clarify, you’re saying this runs as a small 4 right? Makes it tricky to shop if her sizing is inconsistent.
I’m going to mull it over a bit.

@wildnettles yes, I am a true extra small. So, in all honesty, I may pass it up. It's not to say that it won't fit, but just to mitigate the risk of it not fitting comfortably. I would likely pass it up if I was you. I'm just putting myself in your position and thinking what I would do.... I have plenty of other things that I don't post.
