Vintage Joseff of Hollywood Tiger Head Repoussé Brooch

Excellent vintage condition. Rare. Signed "Joseff" in script I originally purchased this in an Illinois antique shop. Based on the signature stamp, this usually means it was made in the 1950’s or 1960’s. This pin is an antique matte gold plated color - Finished in Joseff’s signature plating technique, to reduce the glare from the cameras on Hollywood's movie sets. "Eugene Joseff produced wonderful costume jewelry worn by the stars of Hollywood, and was known for his Russian gold plated jewelry used in films starting in the 1930's." Lightweight The intentional darkening is on the metal, this is not damage. Some additional and age-appropriate patina has developed.
