Please note that Steve Madden’s vegan leather is tanned just like genuine leather, and patent finishes will bloom when exposed to prolonged storage or temperature fluctuations. This is simply wax & oil that has risen to the surface and can be wiped away with a soft cloth and dish soap; any rubber boot cleaner will also work, this is what I use (see last photo for before & after)! I will clean any patent items when I pack them, but exposure to heat/cold during shipment may cause the surface to bloom again in transit to you—just a head’s up!
