Christian Lacroix Evening Gown Corset Rare Haute Couture Numbered Silk Crepe XS

This fabulous haute couture evening gown was made by Christian Lacroix, most likely in the early 1980s. Made from what we believe is a fine silk crepe (no content label), this piece fastens wrap style with a series of hooks and snaps by way of its corset at the bodice. There's silk taffeta and sheer ruffles at the collar and the skirt falls asymmetrically to the knee. Truly a one-of-a-kind haute couture piece! Made in France. Tagged CHRISTIAN LACROIX and numbered 3209 as shown. Dry clean recommended. Preowned/vintage with some signs of prior use and wear: some of the silk taffeta has loose stitching at the underside that should be repaired (cannot notice when wearing but evident when closely inspecting). Wrinkled from storage: would benefit from professional dry clean and press. No size tag but we're estimating this as a modern size XS, based on these measurements, taken flat and doubled where appropriate: bust - 32in, waist - 24in, hips - 34in, length - 53in, single sleeve length - 24in.
