I’m going to charge it up and just confirm that’s still working fine - my husband bought it for a trip to Japan and then we forgot to pack it so we never used it beyond a couple minutes of testing it out at home. There’s no subscription to pay for to use it if that’s what you mean. It just connects via Bluetooth to your phone.

I’ve tested and confirmed that it works - there are four different modes for using it - listener mode, speaker mode, touch mode (two people wear an earbud each), and Simul mode (where one person wears both earbuds.) Enunciating clearly made a noticeable difference in accuracy and practice is definitely helpful. I added some photos to show the dialogue translated on the Timekettle app, one from a conversation and one from listening to a baking show. I hope this helps!
