Vintage Panda Mechanical Alarm Clock Wind Up

This is a beautiful and unique Vintage Diamond Brand, Animated Panda Mechanical Table Alarm Clock, produced in Shanghai, China. This is from the late 20th Century and was produced in 1970's. The little panda at the bottom animates and rocks while the second hand rotates around the glass clock face. No battery is required. The winding spring-loaded clock keeps good time for over a day before rewind is needed. The clock face measures about 5 inches tall and 5 inches wide. This vintage clock was manufactured by Diamond Clock Company of Shanghai, China estimated between the period of 1976 and 1979. The clock manufacturer was established in 1932 and through successive years had changed its name until the seventies manufacturing Diamond brand products. The company no longer exists. This vintage item has been used and has some signs of cosmetic wear (see photo of dents and scratches on the backside, some scratches on the front at close inspection), but is fully operational and functions as intended with a working alarm and wind up function to tell time. the hour and minute hands glow in the dark.
