Exceptional Victorian Etruscan Revival bracelet.
Beautiful, rare and highly decorated piece, created in England during the Victorian Era (1837-1901), circa back in the 1880 This fabulous bangle bracelet has been carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 15 karats with an exceptional craftsmanship depicting intricate Etruscan revival patterns, with textured finishes. It is fitted with a discrete push lock and a safety chain for extra security.
On the other hand, it is very interesting to note that on the back, under the main piece, there is a secret round locket-type compartment. This in turn was to place portraits or memories of the loved one or the lover or fiancé. Bright blue turquoise like these were favored stones to show love to a lady in a discreet way. Turquoise, being the stone of "love", was an indispensable attribute of any wedding in ancient Asia. A well-known belief says that the turquoise color in a ring that a man receives from his beloved is always light blue.
