Deep burgundy red faceted garnets in graduated sizing (from 5mm to 9.5mm) make up this vintage choker, ending in a gold-wash filigree metal fishhook clasp. Dating sometime between the Victorian to Edwardian periods, the necklace has survived the decades in very good condition.
There are a few very minor imperfections on a few of the stones that were visible under a magnifying glass, but they are too small for me to get a clear picture and do not, in any way, detract from the rich burgundy hue of the gemstones. The beads are on string which is still strong and not showing any fray or weakness. Beautiful necklace!
The entire necklace measures 17" around.
