Pair of earrings designed by Angela Cummings for Tiffany Co.
Extremely rare and iconic pieces, created in New York city at the Tiffany Studios by Angela Cummings, back in the 1977. This rare pair has been crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with high polished finish. They are fitted with posts for pierced ears and French omega backs for fastening clips.
Embellished with multiples free forms carvings of natural jadeite green jade inlaid in the gold. This positive and negative patterns are one of the most popular design made by Cummings. This model is actually discontinued.
Weight: 21.95 grams (14.07 Dwt.).
Measurements: 23 mm by 18 mm (0.90 x 0.67 Inches).
Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the serial numbers, the gold assay mark and signed, "TCo. 18KT 12244".
Angela Cummings, was born in 1944 in Klagenfurt in Austria. She take her education at the art academy in Perugia, Italy and at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau, West Germany. in the 1967 she joined Tiffany Co working under the guidance of Donald Claflin and in the 1975, she was the artistic director for her exclusive line brand Cummings. in 1984 she started her own line of jewelry to be retailed exclusively at an in-boutique store at Bergdorf Goodman, in New York city. now she's retired from the jewelry business.
