Phone won’t recognize the replacement at all…just the old AirPod. It’s flashing amber when in the case together.

@dooshduhloosh you have to disconnect from your phone, reset them, sometimes easier letting them both die also and charge them together. Then set up as a new set on your phone.

@grgsimu1 means it may be attached to someone’s account so you cannot attach it to your own. However you can still use it as it functions just can’t be linked to your own account
