Vintage White Stone Ashtray

This is a unique ashtray as it is a solid white stone with veins of off-white. I mean, the easiest guess would be that it is made of marble, but something tells me differently based on texture and shine. The ashtray is weighty and has cool and calm colouring with variations of white. The texture is smooth throughout, but the back was left un-buffed, which also suggests that it was handmade. It is in excellent vintage condition without any visible blemishes or scratches - please see photos. My guess would be that it is late mid century. The piece measures 4 inches by 4 inches and is approximately 1.25 inches tall. Looks quite handsome and understated, yet it is an eye catcher at the same time.
