Valentine’s Day by Gail Gibbons

Thanks to all my 2/14 romantic following, supporters, and friends:( I don’t love this Valentine’s Day book by Gail gibbons with the illustrator uncredited and neither did my neighbor and new librarian who hates donations so much so that the return bin says no donations accepted! This book is beautifully illustrated but unwanted because it’s a heavy book that will cause the usps lots of stress because of their generally low stock of properly sized boxes and even though they are trying to move into a bigger building but the library budget for my city is under funded, I’m helping them recycle the unwanted books even though I’m an anti-consumerist who doesn’t believe in this holiday! It’s great for kids or a younger audience who needs to know how to make cards by cutting construction paper and talks about the saint who only started this holiday because he was stuck in jail so it hinges on a Roman Catholic, continental European philosophy and weighs approximately 1lb! However, don’t gift to kids 9 or above unless they are still suspected to be illiterate or are new to the English language or church! May be an offensive gift to those under the Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, pacifist, pagan, atheist, or agnostic faith!
