Absolutely DARLING one of a kind unique handmade Vintage pillow cases pillow shams with the hand stitched Ellen Sturgis Hooper / Louisa May Alcott poetry phrase “I slept and dreamed that life was beauty; I woke and found that life was duty” split between the two pillow shams. These appear to be handmade in every way and in excellent condition. The fabric is a light cream cotton and the stitching is a deep olive green with a ruffled hem all the way around with lines of olive green stitching. Back has split opening to fit the pillow. There are some very small spots of dirt on the back of one of the pillows but can probably be washed out.
