Offered here is a rare antique Victorian hand-carved angel skin coral cameo of the Goddess Flora, in a 10k yellow gold frame. The frame is set with seed pearls. It has a bale and a pin so that it can be worn as a brooch or a pendant. This cameo is finely carved in high relief, and the features remain crisp. The clasp holds well. The hinge is made entirely by hand. It dates to the 1880s. There are small stress lines on her face visible under high power magnification. The cameo measures 1.5" x 1.25". It weighs 12.8g.
