Vintage 1940s Formal Strapless Dress, GUC Measurements pit to pit 15.5", waist 27". Comes with matching black velvet shrug. Damages to note: Small hole on back left lining as pictured. This could easily be stitched up. The tulle at centre front droops a little as pictured, and there is a small flaw to the velvet at centre front as pictured. I had a piece of velvet inserted around the zipper by a professional tailor as the dress was a little too small for me. One small hole in tulle at front right thigh area that isn't very noticeable due to the double layer of tulle. See video. All in all this dress is in amazing shape for being about 80 years old! Picture this: A lady get married in the 1940s. Her husband takes her to New York for their honeymoon and buys her this dress (at least that's what I was told at the consignment store). 50 years later a young lady buys the dress for her high school graduation. 20 years after that, you can add to the story of this dress ❤️ Stored in plastic dust cover in a pet friendly, formerly smoking home Any questions please ask!
